Small investments that make a profound impact

Entrepreneurs du Monde is an international foundation dedicated to ending poverty through entrepreneurship. Since its founding in 1998, the organization’s mission has been to help vulnerable people in poverty-stricken areas build a better future for themselves and their children by starting businesses that will enable them to become independent and self-sufficient.

In 2008, noting how the values of Entrepreneurs du Monde meshed with those of Finalpha, David Moos met with its founders, Franck and Armelle Renaudin.

Recognizing that the organization exhibited a genuine belief in its cause, a true desire to assist those seeking to rise above their desperate conditions, and an unmistakable sense of professionalism and hard work, David joined together with Entrepreneurs du Monde to create Microfinance Solidaire.

One of the very first micro-credit holding companies created under French law that is dedicated to the financing of micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries, Microfinance Solidaire is just one example of Finalpha’s support of the foundation’s mission. We also participated in the first capital investment in Chamroeun (Cambodia), which is another of the micro-credit institutions formed within the Entrepreneurs du Monde network.

Today, Entrepreneurs du Monde is assisting over 260,000 micro-entrepreneurs across 16 countries around the globe. The members of the Finalpha team are happy and proud to continue to contribute to this ongoing and expanding effort which clearly demonstrates the powerful impact that well-focused, future-oriented and uplifting financing can have on the world.
